Jill Thompson
My background of going through my own therapy has given me the passion to help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges. I bring a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to counseling, ensuring my clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Corban University and 8 years of military service, I understand the importance of resilience and the impact of life’s transitions. My areas of focus include trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and couples counseling. I work with military personnel, veterans, and diverse individuals and couples from all walks of life.

I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which examines how your thoughts are impacting your emotions and behaviors. Person-centered therapy, which explores your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to empower you to find solutions and personal growth. As well as Psychodynamic therapy which explores how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors has been influenced by your past experiences and helps with gaining a deeper awareness of yourself and resolve conflicts. Whether you’re seeking healing from past wounds, tools for managing stress and anxiety, or needing clarity in your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I am a born and raised Oregonian, but have been able to travel to various places due to my military career. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have grown to love trying new restaurants, food, and recipes. Going to the coast, there is just something about the sand, the ocean, the sunrises, and sunsets that always brings me peace and awe. I have a cat named Jazzy, whom I see as my child and I spoil with treats and toys.
