I can't help but notice the changing leaves, a sign generally of the shifting temperatures, the transition from summer to fall and into winter. A sign that the year is ending and soon we begin a new. I feel like this year is even more symbolic and noticeable. I feel that with all that 2020 has brought or that we have experienced that we are at the cusp of an even greater shift or opportunity to shift and that we might be able to shed this year and be reborn in the next year not only as individuals but as a society. I hope that we can shed for some the heartache and loss that some may have experienced, that we can grow from the ashes that others have had to survive through and that we can move into a greater sense of humanity that appreciates all individuals and we can look to love and support and not hate and divide. As you look to the trees and nature, learn from her and take from her changes, that even as we may be laid bare by things in life, we all can survive if we have the resources, nutrients and foundations from which we can pull from. So love your families or those you consider family, treat others with kindness and positive intention, look to grow and be better as we look to the new year. Lets be participants in this life and on this planet that we have and be good stewards of her and that around us. Goodbye 2020, may you go out and may we foster in a new year that is better, brighter and may we do it united and in harmony. I encourage you to light a candle and set the intention of when you light it, you light it for this year. When you blow it out, extinguish all the negativity, hurt, loss, destruction that you may have experienced and remove it with your breath. Breath in the fresh air and the new and light the candle again but with a new purpose, one that you set and that brings you joy. Do this as many times as you need or not at all, that is the gift, the gift of choice.
